I’m a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Certified Midlife Hormone Specialist (CMS), and Licensed Physical Therapist (MSPT) with 25+ years of experience in direct medical care.

When working on more complicated cases or ordering and evaluating advanced lab work, I partner with my husband, Dr. Damon Zavala, D.O. FHM (an Internal Medicine physician) to provide a unique team approach.

That means you truly get the best of both worlds—guiding you to understand the ins, outs, and nuances of holistic and conventional options. 

If you are a woman over 35 who wants more than the standard of care, I am passionate about helping you understand your options (including HRT), become your own health advocate, improve your hormone health, and thrive through this phase of life. 

Bringing you 2 minds & decades of healthcare experience

I wasn’t prepared for the crazy changes that hit me in my 40s (which I now realize started in my 30s!). I thought it would be different for me because I was “healthy” and did all the right things. I had worked in direct medical care for 25 years and assumed I could just get answers from my OB/GYN—but nope! 

So I dove into the research myself, learned about functional testing, dialed in my nutrition, and even became certified as a midlife hormone specialist. Now I can honestly say I feel better at 50 than I did in my 30s. 

I’m here to tell you that you can too!

And then midlife hit.

Since childhood, I’ve been part of a family steeped in chronic health issues. My mom passed away from cancer when I was barely 20 years old and my dad has Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis that near took his life, multiple times. I talk more about his journey in my book, Pain Proof Your Diet.

When my youngest son was born in 2006, his gut issues propelled me to really take a closer look at what my family was eating. Once I realized the impact food made on my life in all areas; energy, sleep, mood, weight, body composition, complexion, and hair - I couldn't keep quiet.
