Many people live their lives with health problems that can be solved with nutrition and/or physical therapy methods. Instead of quick fixes that don’t last, I help you heal from the inside so you can get back to the life you love.
Using DUTCH testing, GI MAP testing, detailed questionnaires, critical thinking, and a unique interviewing process, together we discover what foods you benefit from the most, what systems need a little help to repair, and a comprehensive action plan to achieve your health goals.
Dysautonomia encompasses a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses that involve dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. The symptoms and diagnoses above are not an exhaustive list by any means. Also, you don't need all of the above mentioned symptoms to receive the diagnosis. Using detailed questionnaires and specialized testing, we develop an individual plan tailored to your specific needs and goals.
If you have already been diagnosed with Dysautonomia or been told there's nothing else that can be done, let's talk! I'd love to learn more and see if we are a fit.
A coordinated and strong pelvic floor means fewer accidents, more running and jumping, and more playing with your kids without the fear of needing a change of clothing. It also has the potential to improve your sex life!
Regain your freedom to move, jump, play, and sleep with confidence - from the comfort of your own home.
At the end of the program, you'll feel better with more brain power, less pain, and more energy.
We will meet periodically to reassess, track your recovery and adapt as needed to optimize your progress.
Through targeted testing we assess your gut issues. With the results in hand, we set detailed goals.

01. what is an ntp?
How does it differ from an rd?
An NTP is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and is certified by the nutritional therapy association to help people support their health holistically with individualized nutrition, and support of foundational health. An NTP is different than an RD (registered dietitian).
Dietitians tend to focus on calories, macronutrient counting and dietary restrictions which are deemed good and bad by government standards. RD's are not holistically trained to treat symptoms of illness and disease with the same foundational approach as an NTP.
A holistic nutritionist works in the advanced practice of personalized nutrition applying the concept of bio-individuality to create nutritional, lifestyle and supplement solutions to address the underlying causes of chronic disease

02. How do I know if I'm a good fit for your program(s)?
Are any of these you?
I believe you are the most important part of your healthcare team. My husband and I meet your individual healthcare needs with experience, knowledge and know-how.
Dr. Damon Zavala, DO, FHM is the DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) and I am the Physical Therapist and Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (nutritionist).
When you are enrolled in one of my nutrition packages, I am able to order serum labs via Dr Zavala as needed.
03. WHO HELPS WITH MY HEALTHCARE AND NUTRITION PLAN?
I am very proud to team up with my husband who is a DO - Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
DOs and MDs both attend a 4-year medical program and choose a residency and specialty of their choice.
MDs generally focus on treating specific conditions with medication. DOs, on the other hand, tend to focus on whole-body healing, with or without traditional medication. They generally have a stronger holistic approach and have been trained with additional hours of hands-on techniques.
A simple way I like to tell my patients the difference between an MD and DO is DOs know what an MD knows, what a physical therapist knows, what a chiropractor knows, and what a nutritionist knows.
DOs look at the whole person to understand the root cause of the symptoms, preventive measures, and how structure relates to function, where as an MD traditionally looks only for symptom management.
04. what is a d.o.?
I hold most of our sessions via Zoom. Links are found in your Practice Better portal. You will be able to communicate with me directly within your private, HIPPA-compliant portal.
Each package has a set number of private sessions. You can always request additional private zoom sessions at an additional cost.
05. HOW DO YOU HOLD SESSIONS AND HOW MANY WILL I HAVE?
I do not bill insurance directly. You will need to submit an invoice to your insurance company. Many of our patients have been reimbursed.
I have several options to choose from. BUT I like to talk to you first because I need to make sure we are a good fit for each other. Sometimes I may need to refer you to someone with a different specialty.
Having a quick conversation helps me better assess what package and what tests might be the best option for you.
Pricing and payment plans are discussed during your free discovery call.
